1. What Data We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and business information (business name, trade type, phone, address). When you use the Service, we collect the data you enter — contacts, properties, quotes, invoices, and job records.

We also collect usage data automatically — pages visited, features used, session duration, and browser/device information. This data is used in aggregate to improve the product and is not sold.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect to:

• Provide and operate the Service
• Send transactional emails — quote delivery, invoice reminders, account notifications
• Respond to support requests and communicate about your account
• Understand how the product is used and improve it over time
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your business data (quotes, invoices, contacts) for advertising purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate QuoteBolt. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data:

• Supabase — Database storage and authentication. Your account data and business records are stored in Supabase-hosted Postgres databases.
• Stripe — Payment processing. Payment data including card numbers is handled exclusively by Stripe and is never stored by QuoteBolt.
• Resend — Transactional email delivery. Quote and invoice emails are sent through Resend.
• Vercel— Application hosting and edge delivery. Your requests are routed through Vercel's infrastructure.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, we retain your data for 30 days before deletion, giving you time to export anything you need. Anonymized usage data may be retained indefinitely for product analytics.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — Request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion — Request deletion of your account and associated data

6. Cookies

QuoteBolt uses cookies minimally — only what is required for authentication. We set a session cookie when you log in to keep you authenticated. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

7. Children's Privacy

QuoteBolt is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at hello@quotebolt.app and we will delete that information.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
